Redkite Asset Management System - Asset Tracking |
The Redkite AMS Core module, can track an unlimited number and type of assets from personal protective equipment, for example, through to major capital assets from initial allocation through to final disposal.
Each asset has a unique number which can be supplemented by ‘secondary’ numbers, such as bar code numbers, RFID tag numbers, serial numbers or numbers linking the asset to another external system allowing you to track the asset either manually or using bar codes and / or RFID throughout its life.
Assets are catalogued in the asset register using a hierarchical, tree structure allowing you to easily categorise and locate assets. The asset register contains a wealth of information on each asset, including, but not limited to, a description, make, model, serial number, life expectancy, anticipated replacement cost, warranty period, whether leased or on-loan, plus much more.

Photographs and any associated documentation, such as manufacturers operating instructions, reports of health and safety incidents, can also be attached.
‘Bulk’ activities allow you to build your asset register quickly. For example, if you have, say, 50 bar code readers to add to your asset register, you can do this in a single action using the bulk add features.
Assets can be allocated quickly and easily to a location, and sub-locations within the location, vehicles or individuals.
Inventory reports quickly show what assets are currently held at a location or sub-location (including vehicles) and by individuals.
All asset movements are tracked and recorded for the life of the asset.
Asset movements can be restricted. You can control how assets can be moved by tagging assets as something that may not be moved, can only be moved by authorised personnel or can freely move around.
When an asset is found ‘out of location’ users will be directed re-locate the asset to its correct location or move the asset to its new location, subject to any movement restrictions placed on the asset.
To help you keep track of assets, inventory lists for any or all location(s) can readily be obtained enabling manual, visual inventory checks to be made.

Trials in Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service and Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service in the United Kingdom, have proven that in just a few seconds the Redkite RFID batch scan function will carry out an RFID inventory check, on a locker full of equipment in a single sweep of the RFID reader. This isn’t just a ‘one-off’. It happens locker after locker and in very short time a complete vehicle will be checked.
