The RCVS has undertaken a major project of introducing new technology during the last year. This has covered the range
of workstations and network hardware and software. It was ambitious with critical periods. Success has been essential if
the College’s and RCVS Trust’s objectives are to be met into the next millennium.
PMS’s contribution towards this success has been crucial. Without your competent and friendly support and help
in developing a complicated Data Management System, I could not have enabled the College and Trust to start realising these plans.
Your approach and style generate confidence. You have listened and provided detailed product specifications and advice suited
to the situation and budget available. Most importantly, you have developed a relationship with “the average user” that has made life
easier when inevitable problems have arisen. The users have a real belief that you make a difference and can help – you can and do!
As the project nears the end of twelve month long Phase One, substantial progress has been achieved.
Moreover, the ambitious project timetable continues, in general, to be on time and within budget. It must be acknowledged
that you are undertaking this work for a very fair price too!
I wholeheartedly commend your customer facing manner, technical competence and reliability in seeing a job to a satisfactory conclusion.
Finally I wish to note, at a personal level, the good rapport we have developed. It has enabled whatever needs saying to be said.
This is so important if pragmatism is to be introduced into planning about what can be achieved, by when and for how much.
You are one of those people in life with whom one wants to maintain contact. Thank you and all at PMS for what you have done so far.
I believe that with the firm foundations already built technology usage at RCVS will now go from strength to strength.
