Redkite Asset Management - Safety Tests & Inspections |
Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Safety Inspections and Tests (I/T)
- configure any type of PM or I/T activity: by date - weekly, monthly, etc.; by usage - hours, number of times used, etc.; by distance – miles /kilometres, etc or just about any other parameter.
- Activity types can include conditions such as every 6 months or 10,000 miles, for example
- multiple PM and I/T activity types can be assigned to a type of asset. For example, a vehicle may need a 4 yearly MOT, an oil check / change every 6 months or every 10000 miles and a 5,000-mile tyre check, etc.
- email alerts are automatically sent to nominated personnel when PM or I/T activities are becoming due. Ideal for notifying external contractors, for example
- SMS alerts can be applied as an option
- work sheets listing all PM and / or I/T activities due are delivered, electronically, to a user’s workplace. Work sheets are customised to show only activities at the users’ location and within their skill level.
- Supports bar code and RFID for rapid data capture.
- all PM or I/T outcomes can be entered directly onto the reader or on a computer. On saving, results are instantly relayed to the central data base where records are updated and the PM or I/T cycle reset
- defects can also be reported through the on-screen PM and I/T forms on the reader or via a computer keyboard. A defect notification will automatically create a defect form and sent an email alert to responsible personnel
- on-going reminders for late PM and I/T activities help ensure no preventative maintenance or inspection or test is missed
- forward planning for major servicing is available through an on-screen diarised scheduler.
Inspection, Test, Preventative Maintenance and Defect History
- details of all PM and I/T activities carried out on an asset are recorded and stored for the life of the asset
- details of all defects and repairs carried out on an asset are recorded and stored for the life of the asset
- life-long records allow the possible identification similar problems in the past and helping to speed up the repair process
- reports allow evaluation of downtime for repair for an asset type using ‘Mean time between Repair’ and Mean time to Repair’ information.
PM and I/T Work orders
Preventative maintenance and inspection and test work orders produced on request by an authorised user and are:
- delivered directly to the user’s PC, tablet, or mobile device such as bar code or RFID reader
- automatically filtered to show only work needed at a user’s current location
- automatically filtered to show only work a user has been trained in and holds competence to undertake.
A ‘work listing’ shows a list of what activities need to be done, usually that day. A work order relates to a specific asset type and will contain links to comprehensive instructions, defined by the organisation / manufacturer outlining what needs to be checked, how to carry out the check, what components must be replaced etc.
Defect Management
Defects can be reported at any time. When a defect report is raised the Redkite AMS;
- automatically raises a defect report / work order
- notifies responsible personnel by email
- sends a copy of the defect report / work order immediately to nominated personnel along with any documentation, images, video submitted when the defect was reported.
Users may elect to leave an asset operational or, if they deem the fault to be critical, take it ‘out of service’.
