The Redkite AMS manages:
-on-line, electronic, requisitions of assets, spares and replacement items, using the secure on-line ordering facility supplied with the optional Stores Management System single and bulk allocations of assets to locations (including vehicles), jobs or individuals
-inventory management – paper-based, bar code or RFID, with super-fast batch read functionality
-on-going preventative maintenance (PM) cycles. PM activities can be frequency based (i.e. weekly, monthly, etc) or based on usage (e.g. miles / kilometres, number of times used, etc.). Multiple PM types can be assigned to an asset type. scheduled and unscheduled tests and Inspections T/I). T/I activities can be frequency based (i.e. weekly, monthly, etc) or based on usage (e.g. miles / kilometres, number of times used, etc.) Multiple I/T types can be assigned to an asset type.
-defects and repairs with automatic notifications to responsible personnel and progress reports.
-budgets, including forecast costs for replacing ‘end of life’ assets and spending in by department, location, cost centre or individual.

-assets can be marked with bar code or / and RFID tags and allocated to a specific asset whilst in stores (or at any other time)
-parts and replacements can be ordered via a on-line requisition facility allowing the ordering of items remotely. Parts can be assigned to a ‘job’ card where used for repairs or can be assigned to locations (including vehicles) or individuals.

Redkite Systems are working with Mid & West Wales FRS, Warwickshire FRS, Leicestershire FRS and Northamptonshire FRS and appliance manufacturers to investigate the use of RFID as a viable alternative to barcodes.
