Redkite Asset Management System - Work Orders |
Work orders for preventative maintenance and safety checks are produced on request by an authorised user and are:
- delivered directly to the user’s PC, tablet, or mobile device such as bar code or RFID reader
- automatically filtered to show only work needed at a user’s current location
- automatically filtered to show only work a user has the proficiency to undertake.
A ‘work listing’ shows a list of what activities need to be done, usually that day. The work listing will list activities due that day plus any activities that still need to be done.
On scanning the bar code or RFID tag of an asset shown on the list, a work order for that activity will be displayed. The work order will contain links to comprehensive instructions, defined by the organisation / manufacturer outlining what needs to be checked, how to carry out the check and what components must be replaced etc.
On completing the activity, the user will complete an on-screen form. If the user has detected a notifiable fault, then on saving the record the system will ask the user for a description of the fault. Common faults may be selected from a pick list to speed up the process. Once complete, the system automatically and immediately sends a report, by email (SMS is an option) to nominated personnel.
The report will contain a link back to the defect record where details of the fault with any supporting documentation can be viewed.
The report will take the form of a ‘repair work order’ which can be used to manage your assets through the repair process.
